    Lenovo's line of ThinkPad business laptops have always been famous for being fiercely "Wintel“, However the company is diversifying its hardware and software feature sets, starting with the series models ThinkPad T based on AMD "Picasso“, Now making a big announcement on the sidelines of Red Hat Summit - ThinkPads with the operating system Fedora 32 Workstation preinstalled.

    A new line of Lenovo ThinkPads will ship with the distro Fedora 32 Workstation pre-installed, along with preparing the end user to install proprietary software, such as official nvidia geforce drivers, on first boot. The ThinkPads will include open source software, which will rely on OSS repositories. Fedora is free software . (ready to use) derived from Red Hat Enterprise Linux, optimized for desktops, notebooks and workstations, Fedora Workstation.



    Since the announcement comes from the Fedora team, the hardware specifications of the ThinkPads are not yet available, the same goes for the price, currently unknown.
