New details on Resident Evil Village


    During Capcom's Resident Evil Showcase that just ended, the Japanese company unveiled more details about Resident Evil Village. The game is the eighth installment of the famous zombie saga. During the event it was confirmed that the game will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. It will also be released on PC on the Valve Steam platform. The title will support the free upgrade from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 and Smart Delivery on Microsoft's next-gen consoles. During the Showcase, Capcom showed the first extended gameplay where new in-game details are noticed. In addition to the base game, its multiplayer version has also been announced, or Resident Evil Re: Verse in honor of the 25th anniversary that the saga will make this year. Pre-orders are also open and players on PlayStation 5 will be able to preview the picturesque Castle Dimitrescu thanks to the stand-alone demo Maiden.



    Resident Evil Village continues the story of Ethan Winters, a character already seen in Resident Evil VII. The latest installment of the franchise combines iconic survival horror gameplay from the series and thrilling action. While playing the gameplay video, the developers revealed some details that recall the previous chapters. The protagonist Ethan will be able to buy and sell items to a merchant nicknamed “The Duke”. Using the resources collected in the game it is possible to create some objects necessary to survive in the village. Using these resources will also require meticulous planning, with an inventory that fans of the series will remember.

    New details on Resident Evil Village

    Starting today, Sony console players can preview a castle wing in the game via the Maiden demo.. This experience is stand-alone, but they showcase 3D graphics and audio in the main experience. As the Maiden, players will have to rely on their wits to try and get as far as possible in the demo. A different demo will be out soon for all platforms.



     

    New details on Resident Evil Village

    To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the saga, which will take place in March, Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village will include a free multiplayer experience called Resident Evil Re: Verse, available for all consoles.. For next-gen consoles it will be available with backwards compatibility. This bonus is a gift that the company wants to give to fans with comic-style graphics featuring all the iconic characters that face off in deathmatch in famous Resident Evil locations. When players are defeated they reincarnate as a bioweapon, ready to take revenge on enemies. More information will be released in the future.


    Resident Evil Village pre-orders are open and allow you to book the Standard Edition in physical and digital versions. In addition, a digital Deluxe Edition and a physical Collector's Edition can also be pre-ordered. The digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the “Trauma Pack”. The "Trauma Pack" includes in-game content including the Samurai Edge weapon, the special "Found Footage" filter inspired by the previous chapter and save options via cassette player, instant access to the most extreme difficulty level and much more. The physical Collector's Edition includes everything included in the Deluxe Edition plus a Chris Redfield figurine, a Steelbook, a fabric map of the village, an artbook and an A4 print of the game's key art.
