PLEXTOR announces the new range of M9P Plus SSDs

PLEXTOR, a well-known memory media company, has announced the M2 NVMe “M9P Plus” series of SSDs. This device is equipped with the Kioxia 3D TLC 3D TLC NAND chip (also called “BiCS4”).

The range of products in question includes NVMe M.2 SSDs from the standard 2280 form factor, the versions of which differ by the presence or absence of the heat sink and the storage capacity of each of them (256 GB and 512 GB and 1 TB). In addition there is also a PCI-e version.

Thanks to the BiCS3 96-layer 4D NAND flash chip, the M9P Plus series possesses higher break resistance and higher data density. The new PLEXTOR series uses an industry-leading controller: the Marvell 88SS1092. As far as performance is concerned, the new device reaches sequential read and write speeds of 3.400 MB / s and 2.200 MB / s respectively, while as regards random read and write speeds, it reaches 340.000 IOPS and 320.000 IOPS respectively. In addition, these devices have an MTBF of at least 1,5 million hours, a write duration of 160-640 TB and a warranty of 5 years.
