Pokémon Let's Go: how to get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle

Pokémon Let's Go: how to get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle

In Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! e Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee!, as you can guess from the new titles of the Nintendo flagship console, you will be led to choose for the Pokémon Mouse or the Pokémon Evolution at the beginning of the adventure, depending on the version chosen. The titles, after all, are based on Pokémon Yellow, in which our trainer trotted bringing with him a Pikachu that faithfully followed him out of his Poke Ball.

If you are a traditionalist, and you do not want your Pokémon to remain in its basic form without evolving (because Pikachu and Eevee will categorically refuse to do so) or simply you want to have the first generation starters in your team, that is Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur, do not worry: it is possible to catch them, and in this guide we will see how.

    • # 001, Bulbasaur, Grass / Poison-type:

If you want to give the never too much loved weed / poison starter a chance, Bulbasaur, you need to head to Heavenly City. There an NPC will give you a Bulbasaur as long as you have captured at least 30 Pokémon (even the same). The NPC is located in the leftmost house in town, starting from the Pokémon Center.

If you prefer a little challenge and some healthy catch, then for a Wild Bulbasaur should go to Emerald Woods, which is located between Viridian City and Pewter City, but arm yourself with holy patience because the mini Venusaur is very rare.

    • # 004, Charmander, Fire Type:

For Charmander, among the most popular Pokémon of the franchise especially thanks to its draconic-like evolution, Charizard, head to Path 24, where you will meet a trainer who will give you Charmander if you have captured at least 50 Pokémon (even the same). Route 24 is also located in Celestopoli, and is connected to Route 25 via the Pepita Bridge. The trainer is recognizable because he will have a Charmander nearby which he will want to get rid of. And you will be more than happy to lighten it.

If you want to capture Charmander in the tall grass, the place to look is Route 3, Route 4 and the Rock Tunnel, but like the grass colleague it tends to pop up rather rarely.

    • # 007, Squirtle, Water Guy

Squirtle it is, finally, the most "expensive" Pokémon to obtain. For the Pokémon that in its final evolution will mount cannons in the carapace you will need it having caught 60 Pokémon. Once this requirement is met, it will be time to go find Officer Jenny, who will have trouble with a rather naughty Squirtle. After witnessing the skit over the course of the adventure, arriving in Orange City, you will discover that Jenny managed to catch the water-type Pokémon. If you have caught 60 Pokémon you will spare the rogue the slammer and you will find him in your team.

It is of course also possible to catch other Squirtles if you need to mate them for the egg moves, or if you did not save before receiving the starters (bad) and received a Squirtle of an unfavorable nature. You'll find (with a little effort) Squirtle at Route 24, Route 25 and the Foam Islands (where there is a certain Ice-type legendary bird).

With a little training they will evolve and soon you may have a Venusaur, a Charizard or Blastoise! Or why not… all three.
