I have no specific ideas but I always ask myself a specific question about it: "What is horror?" There are certainly clichés with classic creatures, scenarios and executions, but fear is a primitive reaction to an unforeseen and unpredictable event. So I think there is a new sense of horror or a new Resident Evil only after breaking down these “clichés”. For Resident Evil we have always evolved into new quests for the best possible horror experience, sometimes including major changes in the series. I don't know how it will evolve again in the future.

Sato later revealed that Karl Heisenberg is her favorite character in Resident Evil Village. This is thanks to his appearances and his somewhat anomalous power regarding a "classic" Resident Evil character. At the moment Resident evil village it is also the chapter of the franchise that has sold the most, confirming that the evolution of the series has worked.
