ROG introduces the Chakram: the mouse with joystick

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announces ROG Chakram, an all-new gaming mouse with a programmable and detachable joystick that revolutionizes the gaming experience.

ROG Chakram is a mouse that makes flexibility its strong point: it allows you to easily connect via the 2,4 GHz USB dongle or via Bluetooth LE, to maximize autonomy. The classic USB cable connection is obviously available.

The ROG Chakram recharges automatically when connected to the PC via USB and with just 15 minutes of charging you can get an autonomy of 12 hours of play. The battery has a maximum runtime of 79 hours of play in 2,4 GHz wireless mode. You are also given the option to take advantage of Qi technology to wirelessly charge the mouse with compatible devices, such as the ROG Balteus Qi.

The integrated joystick of ROG Chakram allows you to have additional control, usually offered by gamepads, directly on the mouse. It can be configured to work in two different modes: analog or digital, to adapt to different scenarios.

The analog mode is ideal for flight simulation games, the joystick can be used for quick control of the game view. For first-person shooters (FPS) or battle-royale arenas, the joystick can be set to operate in four programmable directions only. It can therefore be used to reload, switch weapons, crouch or any other imaginable action.

It is also possible to change the joystick, being able to choose between different lengths or even remove it completely so as to be sure you always have the best possible grip.

Thanks to the DPI On-The-Scroll function, you can easily adjust the accuracy by increasing or decreasing the resolution, without the need for software. Just hold down the DPI button and turn the scroll wheel to set the sensitivity freely. Alternatively, you can select the resolution by pressing the appropriate button to choose between four different DPI levels.
