Streets of Rage 4 will have a DLC: to officially confirm it is Dotemu, one of the three teams that brought the Streets of Rage series back to life. No details on the date or content are yet available of the DLC, the team is taking its time because the players "deserve the best".

In the comments on Twitter it also says that the developers had already given the good news months ago, but the announcement was lost in the waves of the internet. And in fact Dotemu, Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games had answered this and other questions in an AmA (Ask Me Anything) session held on Reddit months ago.
The developers talked about how they felt the weight of responsibility in bringing Streets of Rage back to the modern era and how they convinced Sega to hand over the project to him thanks to the success of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, developed by Dotemu.
The scrolling fighting game has also exceeded the sales expectations of the team, who are currently working on a patch that will balance the game. Among the most requested additions are the addition of new characters to use, including Estel, and the ability to change color to the outfits of the characters. Dotemu and the others replied that creating new playable characters is tiring, but they will consider it.
