Seasonic announced the Seasonic Power Supply series CONNECT, the certified power supply 80PLUS Gold with hub function that can be fixed on the PC case thanks to a magnet.
The first power supply CONNECT that will arrive on the market will be theSSR-750FA, a 750 Watt certified 80Plus Gold. This is an ATX power supply with a black finish, but without connectors. A thick cable extends from the body of the power supply to the hub, where all cables can be connected.
The series Seasonic CONNECT was announced at Computex TAIPEI 2019. The attached cable hub is attached with a magnet and can be installed behind the motherboard panel. the distance from each component allows all wiring to be done with short modular cables instead of using long cables. The power supply is an 750PLUS GOLD certified 80W model. The cooling fan uses a fan with bearing in oil bath da 135 mm that supports the operation "Semi fan-less".
There are six protection functions: UP (overload protection), OVP (overvoltage protection), RRP (undervoltage protection), OCP (overcurrent protection), OTP (overheating protection) e SCP (short circuit protection). The certified duration is 150.000 hours (and ten years). The dimensions of the power supply are 150mm wide, 140mm deep and 86mm high.
The price has not yet been announced.
