Titan Quest Anniversay Edition - Review

A few days ago it came out Titan Quest Anniversary Edition; ten years have passed since the publication of Titan Quest, yet, to date, the Iron Lore Entertainment he decided to give another shot to life in that role-playing game that at the time had been too underestimated. In fact, in 2006 Titan Quest had not had the hoped-for success, consequently Iron Lore had failed. The rights to the game were subsequently acquired by THQ Nordic which gave developers a boost by convincing them to get back in the game with this title.

We cannot in fact speak of a real remastered version in this Titan Quest Anniversary Edition, well yes of a reinterpretation of the game that offers many changes and fits perfectly in modern times. Of course, talking about modern times seems silly, but any gamer knows, in this area the changes are sudden and come suddenly.

To every fan it seems yesterday that Final Fantasy VII was played with the gameboy or with the playstation 1 shouting: "this game has amazing graphics!" Well, times have changed in just under twenty years, so much so that the Indie genre has been developed for all those nostalgic for the 90s and early 2000s.

For Titan Quest the same argument would apply, apart from the true fans of the title, those who play the "ancient" version would immediately think of its intricacy and difficulty of gameplay (leaving out the graphic inferiority compared to today's titles which is the last thing a gamer should look) and wouldn't pay too much attention to it. THQ Nordic's was most likely a winning move, bring that Titan Quest back to market, with the same intricate story and spectacular setting for the modest price of € 19.99.
