In Final Fantasy VII Remake Yellow Matters (Techniques) are essential for unlocking new types of techniques who, often and willingly, can provide a not insignificant help even in the most complicated battles. These add new commands which, not being magic attacks, consume ATB and not MP.
There are a total of six Yellow Matters in Final Fantasy VII Remake; below you will find a complete list of all and directions on how to obtain them.
Meditative Matter
This particular object allows you to regenerate health and cure the poison effect with the Chakra. The amount of HP recovered depends on the damage you take and increases even if your health is lower.
- Level 1: Chakra recharges 20% of damage taken as HP.
- Level 2: Chakra recharges 25% of damage taken as HP.
- Level 3: Chakra recharges 30% of damage taken as HP.
- Level 4: Chakra recharges 35% of damage taken as HP.
- Level 5: Chakra recharges 40% of damage taken as HP.
This Materia can be unlocked in the following ways:
- During Chapter 8, Tifa's default matter.
- During Chapter 14, visiting the church of Sector 5.
- Also during Chapter 14, visiting Don Corneo's house.
Analytical Matter
It allows you to use the Scan skill to locate various information about enemies, including their weaknesses.
- Level 1: Scan works on a target.
- Level 2: Scan works on multiple targets.
You will get this Matter when you meet Chadley for the first time during Chapter 3.
Subject Recharging
This ability provides a temporary increase (doubling) in the reload speed of the ATB gauge resulting in a period in which it can no longer be used.
- Level 1: 360 second skill reload time.
- Level 2: 300 second skill reload time.
- Level 3: 240 second skill reload time.
- Level 4: 180 second skill reload time.
- Level 5: 120 second skill reload time.
This Matter can be purchased by Chadley after finding the dossier for the research dossier 4.
Votive Matter
Allows you to use Prayer, which regenerates the health of your allies.
- Level 1: Poor recovery of HP.
- Level 2: Mild HP reset.
- Level 3: Moderate HP recovery.
- Level 4: HP consistent recovery.
- Level 5: HP high recovery.
You can get this Materia in Final Fantasy VII simply by unlocking Aerith, during Chapter 8, being equipped with a base. You can also receive it as a reward at the secondary mission Corneo's secret stash, during chapter 14 and then access the sliding door.
Predatory matter
This item allows you to use Steal, so you can steal items and Gil from your enemies.
- Level 1: Use Theft.
Could be purchased by Chadley after finding the dossier for the research dossier 7.
Eclectic Matter
The most unique of the list, it allows you to use the techniques of the enemies that we will suffer against themselves. In Final Fantasy VII Remake each learned technique will have its own relative command and, of course, they can only be used if this Materia is equipped.
The techniques that can be used are:
- Halitosis
- Spiritual Siphon
- Algid Aura
- Self destruction
