After having explored the world of defenders, our column dedicated to the best players in eFootball PES 2020 continue with the midfielders. Needless to say, this ranking is particularly intriguing and full of talented players, which we can't wait to discover (and try) together. Are you ready to take notes? Let's begin!
- 10 - Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich), 88, CC
Thiago Alcantara he is certainly one of the most complete players around, both in reality and in the game. The midfielder of the Bayern Monaco was at the time of Barcelona and is still one of the most important athletes on the international football scene. He's not a goal machine and he doesn't shine with exorbitant stats, but he definitely manages to make his own, and he does it incredibly well. A player that all coaches would like to have on their roster, given his excellent contribution on the pitch.
- 9 - Miralem Pjanic (Juventus), 87, MED
Pjanic he is a player mainly devoted to attack, who makes shooting from outside, set pieces and construction of the maneuver the best weapons in his arsenal. The aforementioned characteristics strongly identified him during his stay in the Rome, but since he arrived in the Juventus shores he has changed his attitude on the pitch a lot. Pjanic has in fact become much better in the coverage phase and in general in the movements for the whole field, making it possible to be very useful even in the defensive phase. A very useful athlete if you decide to approach the game in an offensive way, but we are sure that even those who do not make attacking his style of play want him with them, despite his temperament not exactly easy to manage.

If we made a speech of only technique and power, Toni Kroos would be the strongest player around. Unfortunately, he is penalized by his lack of propensity to broaden his style of play, self-relegating himself to a behavioral structure both on and off the pitch that is stale and unable to evolve. This does not mean that Kroos is not a player of great value, on the contrary: the midfielder of the Keep it Real. he is one of the strongest in the world and one of the leaders of the team. Too bad it never became what it could be, that it didn't fully exploit its enormous potential. In any case, he remains one of my favorite players and one of the most important midfielders both in the offensive and in the defensive phase of the world football scene.
- 7 - Christian Eriksen (Tottenham Hotspur), 88, TRQ
Eriksen he is an extraordinary player: his career is constantly growing and his numbers are increasingly important. The Danish midfielder of the Tottenham he briefly became one of the most important players in his role. Despite being born as an attacking midfielder he manages to perform his duties wonderfully, managing to play in all the roles of the attacking midfield. During the last season in Premier League, Eriksen has been able to prove that he is a great driver, and this year he has already started on the right foot. We always hope to see him grow and can't wait to find out just how much of a superstar he can actually become.
- 6 - Paul Pogba (Manchester United), 88, CC
Paul Pogba he needs no introduction: the former Juventus midfielder is one of the most complete players around. Despite his young age he is increasingly a leader in Manchester United, a young and arrembante team unfortunately far from the squadron it was a few years ago. It is likely that we will see Pogba matches in a team that aims for an ever higher level, but, despite this, he is still one of the best on the field and a real driver. Power, speed, class and willpower are among the main characteristics of this extraordinary athlete. Too bad for the head, which does not always seem to go in the right direction. Overall, however, we are in the presence of one of the strongest players around, destined to be one of the most glorious superstars of the years to come.
- 5 - David Silva (Manchester City), 88, TRQ
David Silva is a player that we certainly do not discover today. The historic attacking midfielder of Manchester City, despite the years that pass, he continues to be one of the strongest and most incredible players in his role: he almost never misses a game and is almost always fundamental in the construction of actions. The number 21 despite the presence of several champions in his team, he has always kept his leadership intact, match after match, proving to be fundamental in the attacking game of Guardiola. It goes without saying that anyone would want him on their team, and have every reason to do so.
- 4 - N'Golo Kanté (Chelsea), 88, CC
N'Golo Kanté he is a sensational athlete in terms of physical prowess. Despite not being a giant, the midfielder of the Chelsea it is a real war machine in the middle of the field, capable of running far and wide for the duration of the game, without showing any sign of abating. Kanté has very good feet and an excellent nose for goal. Certainly you will not always find him in attack or on the scorer's table, but we can assure you that a team with and without Kanté has a profoundly different attitude. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the strongest players in the defensive phase, in that role and beyond, but who in any case does not sacrifice the offensive phase in any way.
- 3 - Luka Modric (Real Madrid), 89, CC
Luka Modric was close to the transition toInter last summer and we cannot know if this could happen in the near future. Certainly, the Croatian athletes of Inter are waiting for him and he would undoubtedly be happy to finally come to play in Italy with them. That said, despite the years that pass, Modric remains one of the most incredible players in contemporary football, a real surveyor in the middle of the field who does not make a mistake. We are sure that the Golden Ball won last year was a well-deserved award for the Croatian athlete who, with the departure of Ronaldo, became the main leader of the Real Madrid.
- 2 - Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), 89, MED
Sergio Busquets it is now a sentence. The player, who has been a professional for almost twenty years, is one of the strongest midfielders in the international football scene. Despite some not exactly brilliant ideas and some sometimes unjustifiable outbursts of anger, he is one of the most tactically important athletes in world football. In the role of midfielder he is probably the strongest of all, as he perfectly combines impressive physical prowess with very polite feet and an overall acceptable and not limiting speed. We are facing one of the most important players of our day and who tactically is fundamental in every team. It is no coincidence that over the years it has almost always remained one of the cornerstones of Barcelona. A great champion, in short!
- 1 - Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), 90, TRQ
Kevin de bruyne he is an amazing player: physically strong, fast, tactically infallible, technically extraordinary and with an exceptional nose for goal. Its growth has been exponential and with the jersey of City, thanks also to the tips of Guardiola, he has become one of the strongest players in his role. Recall that it is also relatively young in age and therefore can still improve in the future. We can't wait, therefore, to witness his further growth, but already in this way we can say with certainty that in recent years there have not been many sensational talents like him.
