Final Fantasy VII Remake - The Moguri Medals

One of the new collectibles within Final Fantasy VII Remake are the Moguri Medals, quite important items as they will allow you to get quite interesting rewards. We warn you that this guide may contain spoilers on secondary missions.

You will start collecting medals as early as Chapter 1, but you will not be able to spend them until Chapter 8. If you have just started the game, and in the meantime you have obtained some, without knowing what to do with them, know that they are a currency: the latter they can be spent in a special shop.

The aforementioned shop is run by a little boy dressed as a Moogle named Moguya that you will first encounter in the mission "The Mysterious Moogle Shop" in chapter 8. The boy from Sector 5 will be found in the kids' hideout, which will be shown in the side mission "Little Scout" during the same chapter, so complete this mission to be able to enter the store.

Moguya's shop includes several interested items, including Elixir, Ether, music tracks, weapons, accessories and finally some key items for side missions. Among the most important objects we point out the Atomic pincer, a short-range weapon for Barret, theSilver Auction for Aerith and four Combat manuals who donate additional Expansion Points to upgrade our weapons.

To spend your medals in this shop you will first have to sacrifice a medal to get the Mogmog card, and then you can spend the rest as you please. All items except Ethers, Round Aethers and Elixirs can only be bought once.

In Final Fantasy VII Remake you can get the Moogle medals in a fairly simple way: it is a loot that appears randomly in the wooden and metal crates of the Shinra, the same ones that can be destroyed to allow you to recover life and MP.
