The second boss you will come across in Dark Souls III is a very large and armored quadruped: Vordt of the Boreal Valley. As frightening as it may seem, don't worry. As with all bosses in FromSoftware's Dark Souls series, you just need to arm yourself with calm and patience and follow our advice to get to victory.

Like almost all the bosses of Dark Souls III, too Vordt of the Boreal Valley will have two phases, where the second will pose you a more difficult challenge and will begin when the boss reaches 50% of the HP bar approximately. Although the arena is very large, Vordt will be able to bridge the gap in moments, so you don't need to stay too far away from him. His attacks will mainly come from the club he is holding, but, at the same time, they will be very slow and readable.
Dodge them and always try to stay close to his belly and with each dodge, launch an attack. Sometimes, you will find yourself behind it, one of its weak points, so any attack inflicted there will grant you more damage.
At the second stage, Vordt will become more aggressive and will try to freeze you with his attacks and breaths. Since the quadruped will still remain very fast, the advice is always to stay as close to the boss, dodge and then attack at each dodge (always keep an eye on your green stamina bar anyway).
Do this and you will see that you will be able to win the fight and light the bonfire to enjoy the well-deserved rest.
