Horizon Zero Dawn, the skills to focus on

With all the skills featured in Horizon Zero Dawn, it can be really difficult to know where to start. Aloy's tree possesses many skills useful for accomplishing various tasks, from collecting resources to knocking out cars.

On some of these, however, we should focus from the beginning of the game.

Horizon Zero Dawn, the skills to focus on

Through this guide, we will suggest what these skills are and why you should prioritize them over others.

Silent Strike: the very first skill you need to unlock. Most of the enemies at the start of the game can be successfully eliminated using this attack. Furthermore, most of the scenarios allow for a stealth approach. In this way, that skill is an essential tool for your survival.

Concentration: If stealth is scarce, Aloy is forced to pull out a bow and arrow. Concentration slows down time making it easier to align the shot. Many enemies are fast enough and to maximize damage you need to hit them in specific points. If you've spent that skill point on Concentration, you'll have some time to take aim slowly and cause some massive damage to the enemy.

Gatherer: another very important skill, as it allows you to gain more resources from gathering sessions, such as from trees and plants. Unlocking it at the beginning will certainly be essential towards the end of the game.

After unlocking the aforementioned, you can focus on:

Tinkerer: probably one of the most useful skills in the game. It allows Aloy to remove and reuse weapon mods. Without this ability, whenever a new modification is inserted, the previous one will be destroyed. Thanks to this skill, you will be able to exchange upgrades on your favorite weapons, and be ready in all circumstances.

Scavenger: After unlocking Gatherer, worry about this skill too. It allows the player to gain more resources and better loot from downed cars.

Low Profile: As the game progresses, you will want to switch between enemies without even wanting to attract their attention. The Low Profile ability allows Aloy to remain hidden, so she can sneak through packs of enemies, undisturbed, to her destination.
