Nioh 2 - What to do with purple Kodamas

Nioh 2 - What to do with purple Kodamas

In Nioh 2 it will be possible to come across new Kodama that are purple in color and not too friendly, however, they will also have their own use. In fact, the previous chapter of Team Ninja made us get to know these particular sprites but they have always been green; their usefulness, still maintained, was to increase the possibility of finding a certain type of loot.

These new purple sprites, on the other hand, apparently they would give the idea of being a Yokai version of their green "cousins" given their appearance and the type of aura that surrounds them. Nevertheless performing a Ki purification will not be of any use, as well as attacking them directly; on the contrary, as the game itself suggests, they seem to want something.

In fact they seem to be particularly interested in shiny things (and more) and there is nothing more shiny than our loot! Giving them any piece of equipment by going to the inventory and pressing triangle will cause the Kodama to pick it up and reward us with a similar item of the same rarity level.

In this way we will be able to usefully get rid of equipment that is not useful for the build of our character in the hope of finding something more valid while maintaining its rarity. In addition to weapons and armor, it will also be possible to exchange Soul Cores and, in some cases, these new Kodama of Nioh 2 will be able to ask you for something round and "fragrant"; in this case you will have to give them a ball of dung and you will receive in exchange several rare consumable items.
