Ys IX: Monstrum Nox already came out in Japan a year ago Japan but for Western fans the time has not yet come. Today though the demo has arrived on the PSN so that players can get a taste of it.
The demo will catapult players into one mysterious prison, called Balduq, which will be one of the main locations of the title. You can also try out the new mechanics called Gifts and Monstrums. It is not known if the progress pursued in the demo can be imported later in the full game or if those who complete the demo will have bonuses at launch. Regardless, there is still a very good opportunity to try the title if interested. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is available on PlayStation 4 in Japan from September 2019 and will arrive in the west on February 2, 2021. In the west, the Nintendo Switch and PC versions are also expected, again in the course of 2021, even if official dates are not yet available.
