The new season of FIFA 21, officially started last Friday, has brought with it several new goals and above all many new players to aim for. Waiting for the Icon Swaps, which started yesterday (May 10), the new season launched by Electronic Arts already has the first certainties in terms of players. As per tradition, in fact, the players belonging to the Storyline group have been included, available as always after reaching the level 15 and level 30 of the season pass.
Unlike last season, fortunately, the new ones Storyline there are certainly more interesting ones, in particular those of level 30. For this reason, as we do now every time a new season comes out, we have thought of you, creating the inevitable guide to the recommended Storylines of this new season. Let's be clear, these are not phenomena, but some players seem to have what it takes to do very well in the middle of the field.
Obviously, we would like to clarify that we are based on our experience and on reading the stats of the cards, having not yet unlocked (it would be physically impossible) the players in question in first person and not having tried them "by hand" yet.
Level 15 rewards
- Choice number 3: Marcus Edwards (Vitoria Guimaraes, OV 87)
The less gluttonous option of the first round of rewards is certainly the one dedicated to the English winger of Liga NOS Edwards, both for his demerits and for the presence of numerous alternatives in the role. The player is very fast, very agile and also finishes quite well, but he lacks heavily on a physical level (only 88 in stamina) and above all in ball control, which makes him very predictable in the offensive phase and hardly able to jump the man.
- Choice 2: Christopher Julien (Celtic, OV 87)
The second option of level 15 is that relating to the French central defender of Celtic Julien, who on paper seems very valid but leaves room for several important critical issues. The first is related to acceleration: in this phase of the game, with 75 acceleration, the player becomes practically unusable, especially in some games. The second is that relating to balance: with a modest 58, even considering the almost 2 meters in height, the player risks being constantly planted, especially in games against agile and snappy attackers. Let's be clear, he's a good player, but we would never use him.
- Choice number 3: Tyler Adams (Leipzig, OV 87)
The best choice of the first group of players is certainly that relating to the Leipzig midfielder, the good Tyler Adams. The young American is showing off with a beautiful season and this card is irrefutable proof. The new version of the player has in fact stats perfect for playing both as a midfielder (his natural ground) and in defense, thanks to an impressive workrate (high high) and incredible defensive and physical stats, combined with good speed. In short: whatever your team is, even simply as a super sub, you can't not choose this card.
Level 30 rewards
- Choice 3: Divock Origi (Liverpool, OV 91)
The least “greedy” option of the last level of the Season 6 pass is the one dedicated to Liverpool striker Divock Origi, a controversial player both on the pitch and within FIFA. Let me be clear, stats in hand the good Origi looks absolutely devastating, but some statistics highlight enormous critical issues. The first is related to balance and agility: with that body (190 for 75kg) 83 and 84 are too low values and, we are sure, combined with the 4-star skill item make him a player too little agile and reactive. With the current defenses, believe us, it would have a hard time even just to find the way to the door.
- Choice number 2: Renan Lodi (Ateltico Madrid, OV 91)
The second choice (very painful) is dictated not so much by the player, but also by the index of hybridity of the player who instead snatched the first place. We are talking about Renan Lodi, a complete and incredibly “meta” left-back who is often re-proposed within FIFA and who this year is confirmed as one of the best in that role, also counting the links he can offer. Stamina, great defense stats and a great balance make Lodi a practically total player, who pays only if you consider the physical strength, fairly low (79) and which could expose the player to some lost contrast too. For the rest, it is a practically top card. Believe it.
- Choice 1: Ander Herrera (PSG, OV 91)
The best option of this group of Stortyline of FIFA 21, both for quality and and above all for hybridization (link to the many TOTS that came out very strong, but also to the various Neymar, Mbappè etc.) is the one dedicated to Ander Herrera, Spanish defensive midfielder under the PSG. Herrera's card becomes part of the so-called "Gullit Gang" that is that group of cards with all parameters with a value of 80+, which reveal the quality of the player. Thanks to a perfect workarate (high high) and an excellent 4 4 to the voice weak foot and skill moves, the player is practically without objective defects, able to do both phases of the midfield in an excellent way. Too bad for the agility and balance, but with the Engineer style we are sure that everything will work out. Clearly, we can't wait to try it out in the field!
