Since, during the month of May, Team Ninja announced the closed alpha of Nioh 2 on PlayStation 4, the waters have been very calm. The creative director, Tom Lee, took care of them by publishing an update on PlayStation Blog, confirming the presence of the game at Tokyo Games Show 2019 and releasing new sketches of the protagonist.
Despite the ability to customize the protagonist, there will still be a background story. We will be a bastard, half human and half Yokai to justify the transformation into a demon, and we will find ourselves traveling in Sengoku-era Japan. According to Lee, around 50.000 players took part in the closed alpha.

The Tokyo Games Show 2019 is scheduled for September, in the days ranging from 12 to 15. Nioh 2 is in development for PlayStation 4 and a launch date is not yet available.
