Animal Crossing: New Horizons - The Sanrio inhabitants

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - The Sanrio inhabitants
Here's how to get the new dwellers and new items.

New arrivals time inside Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In fact, some inhabitants and exclusive items are available for the first time, obtainable through the use of Sanrio amiibo cards on your Nintendo Switch. But what are they and how should you do to get them? We explain everything in detail in this guide.

Once the console is updated to the latest version - 1.9.0 as we write - it is possible to use Sanrio amiibo cards on Animal Crossing (purchased online at retailers such as Amazon), in order to obtain exclusive posters that can be ordered, along with items for furniture and unique clothing. Through the Punto Nook terminal in common it is possible to scan the various cards, unlocking the respective exclusive objects for each inhabitant. These, however, will then always be purchased from Punto Nook, in the section dedicated to special items.

However, the cards can also be used to get Sanrio villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Here too it is necessary to go to the Nook Point: from there it will be possible to send the character related to the scanned amiibo card to the campsite. Going to talk to the aforementioned inhabitant, he will ask us for a specific object, crafting it and bringing it to him will complete the first part of the procedure. A modus operandi similar to the one already active to invite the inhabitants via amiibo, explained in detail in this guide. Repeating the operation for three days in a row (use the card to call the resident; talk to him; bring him the requested object) it will then be possible to offer him the opportunity to move. It will be at that moment that the inhabitant Sanrio will name a character to take the place of (in case there are no free slots for other inhabitants on the island).

Sanrio inhabitants are not available for transfer except in the manner explained above: it is therefore not possible to obtain one when moving from another island. As for exclusive items, the only way to get them if you don't have Sanrio cards is to get every single item from another player: the same items cannot be cataloged without cards and therefore cannot be ordered. from Point Nook once collected from the ground.
