Guide to Generation IV Pokémon and Mysterious Houses.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX the Pokémon Aura, Lucario, is the greatest helper among creatures. Alakazam admires him, aspiring to follow in his footsteps and become the greatest leader of a Rescue Squad.

Lucario is also one of the title's few Generation IV Pokémon, but how to get it? To answer this question we must start from its pre-evolution, Riolu.

How to get Riolu and Lucario

Riolu and Lucario are related to Mysterious Houses, colored structures present in a random plan of the dungeons once the main adventure is over. These are only present in the remake. Entry to a Mysterious House requires a Letter of Invitation, an object that can be purchased for 1.000 Pokémonete at the Kecleon Warehouses and which, given the random nature of the structure, is advisable to always have with you. The Invitation Letter itself is a matter of luck, but it can also be obtained by embarking on the various dungeons.

Inside the Mysterious House, in addition to rewards and chests, you can also find rare Pokémon depending on their habitat. Among these is Riolu, the pre-evolution of Lucario. Riolu will automatically join the team. A guaranteed Mystery House can be found in the Far Mountain dungeon, which is the best place to try and get Riolu or Lucario in person. To make Riolu and Lucario appear in a Mysterious House Ultra rank must be reached first, with 37.800 points. The points increase based on the Pokémon rescued in the various dungeons and the missions completed. Once the Ultra rank is reached, the title will reward the player with a Lucario Statue, a sign that the Pokémon Aura is available for recruitment.

How to evolve Riolu into Lucario

Riolu evolves into Lucario just like other Pokémon, that is, with two Evolution Crystals at Whiscash Pond. Lucario also has a mega-evolution of its own. For information on how to find Evolution Crystals and the tools that allow mega-evolution, we refer to our guide on how to evolve Pokémon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.
