In Shenmue III, accumulating large amounts of money is essential to buy objects of various usefulness: food to support us, manuscripts of techniques, up to objects necessary to continue in the adventure such as Lao Jiu wine aged 50 years. However, the authors of Ys Net did not exactly make earning yuan quickly, despite the multiple methods of earning.
So here is a guide that can make your life easier.
Bailu
Shenmue III's first location is Bailu Village, here the classic way to earn money is to work for Tao Guanzhong by chopping wood. Start here and make around 150-250 yuan. You will need to have advanced in the adventure at least to the point where you will have access to Sunset Hill, which is to the left of the Panda Market.
On the way to get there you will notice a small house with the Yin-Yang symbol as he teaches, inside pay the clairvoyant to let you reveal the lucky color.
Exit and continue on the road upwards; on the right there is a small enclosure with various games. Exchange 100 Yuan for 1.000 chips at the counter, then go to the guy standing and play "Flower, bird, wind and moon", bet the 1.000 coins (maximum bet) and bet on the color predicted by the fortune teller. In order to understand each other:
- Red = flower
- Green = bird
- Blue = wind
- Yellow = moon
Keep in mind that victory is not 100% guaranteed, there will always be the possibility of losing. Betting on the lucky color, however, significantly increases the chances of winning. It is also good to keep in mind that lucky color is only valid for a limited time about a couple of hours, then periodically return to the fortune teller for a new prediction.
Winning quadruple the coins wagered, so with each win you will earn 3.000. Collect as many as you want, then head to the Panda Market. At the desk Prize Exchange exchange tokens for resellable items such as gems. Right nearby you will find the pawn shop (Pawn Shop) to sell them to and earn your heap of money.
Niaowu

For everything else you need you will have to enter a street that is located by turning right between the staircase after the word "GAME" and the one before the red portal, follow the sign towards "New Paradise”And go down the stairs to the right.
In this street you will find the restaurant immediately on the left The Golden Goose, where you can buy tokens and play various games including "Flower, Bird, Wind and Moon".
Continuing down the street you will find on the left the Prize Café, where going up the stairs you can exchange tokens for objects, and immediately next to it the pawnshop Pawn Paradise where to resell them.
Niaowu has several pawn shops and even more places to play, but the ones we suggest are closest to the clairvoyant and will save you from long journeys around the city.
