Final Fantasy XV is finally available for all players, and among the many monsters that the game Square-Enix offers us, there is also an iconic creature of the series, which any player has seen at least once. It's about the funny Cactus, a recurring being in the games of the series, also called Cactus or Sabotender. They are small cacti that are able to move, and highly sought after by players as a source of interesting EXP points and loot. So let's see how to find and kill the cactus in Final Fantasy XV.
The Cactus is observable by the players from the first hours of the game, since the area in which it appears is the very initial one. Available in Liede, that is to the north-west of Hammerhead station (to be clear, where there are Cindy and Cid), it has also been observed north of Longwhyte (the station halfway between Hammerhead and the Pier) and in the region of Duscae.
It usually roams the lands during the early hours of the morning, and given the limited opportunities to observe it, we advise you to use the call of the monsters, at your own risk.
It is a seemingly harmless creature, but it is not. The Cactus is indeed very strong, and beating him in the early hours of the game is pretty difficult. Many players in fact crossed paths almost at the beginning of the game, but were easily defeated. How to defeat the Cactus? Use mostly ice and thunder magic, while avoiding fire as it is resistant to the latter element.
The killing of the Cactuses it is very important, and offers players attractive rewards. By killing one of these creatures the experience gained will be very high, and equal to 333 EXP points. It goes without saying that for a player not yet very advanced in levels, meeting and killing a Cactus can quickly advance a few levels. Also important are the loot, that is the objects, that the death of the Cactus allows us to obtain. We have two objects:
- Cactus needles, important items to give to Cid to improve some weapons
- Oracle Coins, useful as a bargaining chip for rare items in Altissia.
