Announced in early 2020 by Electronic Arts, Star Wars: Squadrons intrigued Star Wars fans right away, despite being a smaller-scale game than major productions like Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The title developed by Motive Studios is in fact icentered entirely on space battles aboard iconic spaceships like X-Wing and TIE Fighter and can count on crossplay between PC and console. Fans of the Star Wars universe, therefore, will be able to get their hands on another themed title also in 2020, as it was announced that Star Wars: Squadrons has finally entered the gold phase.
This was announced on Twitter by Ian Frazier, the creative director of the project, via a post on Twitter. Now that the development phase is over, the game is ready to be launched on 2 October 2020 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 5.
