The announcement awaited by the many fans of the SNK fighting saga has arrived: The King of Fighters XV will be released in the course of 2021, but the platforms have not been specified. Producers Yasuyuki Oda and Creative Director Eisuke Ogura commented on the happy announcement in a video message released on Youtube at the same time as the trailer that we propose:

Oda: The day we can reveal The King of Fighers XV is finally here! As you may have just seen in the trailer, there are many, many flashy and lively scenes, but can you tell us a little more about what the game will be like?
Ogura: Of course. We are focusing on keeping the fast pace of the series, adding new elements to make it more exciting. We are now able to do things, both sonically and visually, that were impossible during the development of the XIV, so we're taking our time to make sure every element is defined. Right now, we are focusing on improving the features and optimizing the game. While I expect some hurdles to face, we expect to have the game ready for release within the year.

Oda: Do you have any other plans at the moment?
Ogura: Well actually we have another trailer in the pipeline and it should be ready for release next week! More information will be posted periodically, so please wait impatiently! Ah, right.
