The Atelier Ryza series reaches the milestone of one million copies thanks to the success of its two chapters
Atelier Ryza has done a lot for the brand atelier; by modernizing the gameplay loop and proposing a memorable cast, the two games have managed to win a place in the hearts of gamers as indicated by the million copies sold! For Gust's JRPG series this is a good milestone, the Ateliers have in fact always been part of a niche brand with constant but limited success. Thanks to the two games released from 2019 to date starring the young Ryza, the series has gained popularity and critical favor.
There are no specifics on how much one chapter sold compared to the other; however, with more than 500 copies in the first 11 months, the first game is probably the most profitable for Gust. The sequel for its part managed to sell 220 thousand copies in its first month, confirming itself as anything but bankruptcy!
