Anthem was without a doubt one of the fastest burned titles in video game history. Billed as the great Electronic Arts MMO, the game's popularity soon ran out like a flashlight flame, leading in a matter of weeks the servers to empty and make the title a cathedral in the desert.
The hole in the water was so sensational as to make most people think that Anthem could represent yet another nail on the coffin of a BioWare that, after a glorious past, now appears increasingly in difficulty.
Electronic Arts instead announced that the development team was working on a complete overhaul of the game dubbed Anthem Next, whose death or life will be announced shortly.
Apprehensive about the fate of the project, the game's small fanbase launched the hashtag #IBelieveInAnthem on Twitter in order to support Bioware and thus support the coveted rebirth.
The famous American journalist Jason Schreier wanted to thank all the fans on the part of the development team who, apparently, he greatly appreciated the messages of encouragement he received.
Since people are wondering, I don't think we'll be hearing any news about Anthem Next until next week. The project will remain in limbo for a while longer. People working on the game have enjoyed all the #IBelieveInAnthem tweets that bode well for a story of redemption.
The fate of Anthem therefore hangs in the balance for a while longer. If the Next project will ever see the light, will it be able to make the title that great success it has not been until now? We remain vigilant awaiting new information.
