After the release of the first paid DLC called The Bad Seed dated early 2020, more news is coming for Dead Cells. Motion Twin has in fact foretold that their rouguelite Metroidvania will receive a new big update soon.
Expected around mid-December, the next update will introduce various elements such as enemies, weapons, secret rooms and much more to be revealed, as described on the game's Steam page.. Not only that, the development team teased the audience by claiming that they have "some other more important news that will arrive within the next couple of months".
At the moment it is impossible to speculate whether the surprise will be a new great DLC, full of new areas and fearsome opponents, or, traveling with the mind, Dead Cells 2 or an original IP. Dead Cells is an independent title that mixes mechanics from platform, metroidvania, rouguelite and action for a perfect mix, as you can read in our review. The title was released in 2018 and is available for all major gaming platforms.
