The Sony subsidiary has welcomed sound designer Beau Anthony Jimenez into its ranks. The artist celebrated the new job by sharing a message via his Twitter account: “I couldn't wait to announce that I have joined the PlayStation Sound Team. I am honored to contribute to the PlayStation tradition and always push this sector into the future thanks to some iconic sound experiences… Like the one of the next God of War that I will work on! ”.
Jimenez is a veteran of the triple A industry, having contributed to the audio industry of video games such as The Witness, Ori and the Blind Forest, Destiny 2 and the expansions of Destiny before, the sound sector of The Last of Us Part II and of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy with Naughty Dog then.
At this point we just have to wait and find out how his compositions and those of the rest of the team will be able to accompany Kratos in his next adventure. God of War Ragnarok is scheduled for PlayStation 5 in 2021, although, according to an authoritative name, it could also be released for PlayStation 4.
