How to delete Amazon Prime Video viewing history

Do you want to remove a TV series or movie from your Amazon Prime Video viewing history? Here's everything you need to know.

Amazon Prime Video is filled with great movies and TV shows, from Amazon originals to licensed third-party content. Whenever you watch something on Prime Video, even for a minute, it is added to your watch history.

But what if you get halfway through something and decide you don't want to watch it anymore? It's annoying to see it clog up the Prime Video homepage. Therefore, we will show you how to manage and delete your Amazon Prime Video viewing history.

How to manage your Amazon Prime Video viewing history

When you don't finish watching something on Prime Video, whether you've seen a few episodes of a TV season or halfway through a movie, it appears in the Keep Watching row on the homepage. It is also used to feed into your recommendation algorithm.

It's great if you really want to keep watching it. However, if you've stopped watching it altogether, it's annoying that that show or movie is showing on your home page for eternity.

You can easily view and manage Prime Video's watch history (each profile has a separate history), but you have to do this on the desktop.

How to remove something from the row Keep watching

  • Go to the Amazon Prime Video home page.
  • Find the row Continue to keep .
  • click on Modification .
  • Click cross icon on what you want to remove.
  • click on Done .

How to view and manage the history

If you want to view your entire Prime Video viewing history and remove items from it:

  • Go to the Amazon Prime Video home page.
  • Click icon shaped gear top right.
  • click on Settings .
  • click on Viewing history . Here is a recording of everything you have seen.
  • If applicable, click Delete episodes / movies from watch history on what you want to remove.
