NIS America Line-Up: Tested - Gamescom 2019

    NIS America Line-Up: Tested - Gamescom 2019

NIS America, or Nippon Ichi Software, a large game distribution house made in Japan. Thanks to her we were able to enjoy titles on which, otherwise, we would have had no hope of putting our hand, such as for example Metal Max Xeno, who left us a few months ago.

During the last Gamescom 2019, we had the opportunity to visit the area destined for NIS America, and try out a lot of titles that will see the light from here shortly.

Among the most interesting titles we have had the opportunity to try, there are certainly Psikyo Shooter Alpha and Psikyo Shooter Bravo, two superlative collections of Shoot'em Up (the good old shoot and run) old school which is always good to play once in a while.

The roster certainly cannot miss the iconicissimi JRPG, a genre for which NIS America is more than known and respected, and in this case we could not help but try games like Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III or Disgaea 4 Complete +.

A separate speech must be made for the interesting, and at times disturbing, Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, a truly over the top title that will see us challenging to survive one of the many natural disasters that strike with impressive frequency on the land of the Rising Sun.

Specifically, we were able to get our hands on:

    • The Legend of Heroes: Trail of Cold Steel, available from 22 October for PlayStation 4
    • The Alliance Alive HD Remastered, available from 11 October for Switch and Playstation 4
    • Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers, available from 25 October for Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4
    • Langrisser I and II, available from next year for Switch, Playstation 4 and PC
    • Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories, available for Playstation 4, Switch and PC from next year
    • Disgaea 4 Complete +, available for Switch and Playstation 4 starting from 29 October
    • Utawarerumono: ZAN, available from 19 September on Playstation 4
    • Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen, available for Playstation 4 starting next year
    • Psikyo Shooting Star Alpha & Bravo, both available for Switch starting next year

This was, ultimately, NIS America's line up for this Gamescom. As can be easily understood, there is no shortage of amarcord titles and those that try to innovate the genre.

For sure, we will return to talk about these pearls from the Rising Sun on these pages.
