PlayStation 5 is officially sold-out and to say it is the same CEO Jim Ryan; there is pride in the numbers sold, sure, but Sony confesses that it would not do what it did, especially launch a console during a pandemic.
There have been no few problems along the way. My two main emotions are one of joy, as things seem to have gone pretty well, and of relief, because what we have done has been going on during a strange and particularly difficult year for everyone. It was a real challenge, especially on the hardware production side.
Ryan then went on to confirm the terror of many, that PlayStation 5 is officially sold-out. If so far Sony's job has been to have a number of consoles equal to the demand, now the problem to be solved is the produce more.
The pandemic has certainly altered our plans, but only in terms of advertising. Perhaps in a world without COVID we could have had a few more units, but not absurd numbers. The guys from the production really worked wonders.
The sales units are not the only focus of news on PlayStation 5, given the problems that seem to afflict some units (some apparently already fixed, others not) and the recent TIME nomination.
