Steam: PS5 and Xbox pad support improved

Controllers are peripherals that are increasingly used by PC users as well. This is why Steam, through its latest update, brought further improvements to controller support for new consoles, enabling rather specific features.

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S pad, for example, is enriched by the possibility of assigning a command to the Share button, as well as being able to enable vibration. In addition, it will be possible to link up to four pads at the same time, for local multiplayer sessions. Also, from now on you can also use the backbones of the Xbox Elite controller.

Regarding the DualSense instead, it is now possible to customize the LED, deciding whether to enable, disable or enable it only when multiple controllers are connected.

No support for now for the biggest innovations brought by the Sony controller: adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.

We hope their support will arrive as soon as possible.
