Initially unveiled during the presentation of the new Sony console, Gran Turismo 7 will bring the saga to PlayStation 5. It is not yet clear when the new chapter of the iconic racing series will arrive, but a recent announcement could suggest that the game could be released as early as next year.
As noted by a well-known site, a recent announcement on Sony's Youtube for the launch of the PlayStation 5 highlighted the game's launch window.. In the lower left corner of the ad thumbnail, a line of text in French appears that reads “Sortie prévue puor la première moitié de 2021”. It literally means that the game is scheduled for release in the first half of 2021.
Of course the news is to be taken with a grain of salt, as neither Sony nor Polyphony Digital have announced a launch window or official release date for Gran Turismo 7. Although this possible leak comes from an official channel (in this case Sony's Youtube channel), some errors in Sony's marketing area have recently been seen. For example, an ad stated that Demon's Souls would be released on PC.
