Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Guide to snowmen

Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Guide to snowmen

With the arrival of winter in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the possibility of making gods was introduced snowman: by rolling two snowballs on the ground (one for the body and one for the head) we can make the puppet come to life, which will give us one of 15 seasonal patterns. Importantly, there is a snowman available to build every day, which will happen until the February 24. We explain to you today everything you need to know about snowmen in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, explaining how to always build perfect ones, how to remedy if mistakes are made and what are the schemes that can be received.

How to build the perfect snowman

First, you need to make sure you have a large snowy space on your own island, free from objects and buildings: only in this case the snowballs will appear in the area, allowing us to proceed with our “snowman project”. There are several ways to try to build the perfectly proportioned puppet in the Nintendo Switch title: under normal conditions, the player can only rely on his eye, trying to create a head that is slightly smaller than the body. However, there is a method that, at the expense of a slightly longer preparation, manages to guarantee a much higher success rate.

In fact, just make sure that the two snowballs roll up to reach theirs maximum size and then open the Edit Island app via Nook Phone and prepare one horizontal strip composed of 10 consecutive boxes, consisting of any terrain other than snow (perhaps with the help of holes to keep track of the number of boxes). At that point, by placing the two snowballs at the ends of the horizontal strip, one of the two must complete the path: passing on a ground other than snow, this decreases in size, forming a perfectly sized head.

Alternatively, if you are looking for an immediate method, you can try rolling the base (puppet body) for about 17 seconds, while the head for approx 12 seconds, being careful to make the 12 seconds run out with the collision between the two snowballs. The time, in this case, must be measured not from the first thrusts given to the snowball, but from when the character actually starts rolling it with his own hands.

What to do if you get a less than perfect snowman

Did you get the wrong snowman? No problem! In fact, when the puppet is created, the first sentence of the same makes it clear if the proportions are exact or if something has gone wrong: in the latter case, except for self-rescues by the game, closing Animal Crossing before the puppet keep talking you may have the opportunity to try again, to get one of the 15 available patterns.

    The patterns of the snowmen

Here are the patterns that can be achieved by building a perfect snowman:

    • Iceberg popsicles set
    • Iceberg divider
    • Arco iceberg
    • Iceberg bed
    • Iceberg armchair
    • Iceberg counter
    • Iceberg pillar
    • Iceberg statue
    • Iceberg table
    • Iceberg tree
    • Iceberg floor
    • Iceberg wall
    • Iceberg snowman
    • Snowman head
    • Ice wand

To build any of the following objects, you must use a variable amount of snowflakes (which can be captured with the net as they flutter) and a big snowflake: The latter is donated by one of the perfect snowmen already built, simply by talking to us before they are completely melted (for a maximum of one large snowflake each day).
