This shared project with Xbox Game Studio is announced at the E3 2021 Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase event.
We were promised games and so it was, during theXbox & Bethesda Games Showcase event for E3 2021 we were able to enjoy 90 minutes of titles and anticipated new IPs such as Contraband, in production at Just Cause's Avalanche Studios and Xbox Game Studios.
What is it about? As we learn from the article published on Xbox Wire, Contraband is a new project by Avalanche Studios born about three years ago from the idea of making a co-op title within a fictional smuggling paradise, the imaginary Bayan of the 70s.. Avalanche Studios, in partnership with Xbox Game Studios, indicates that this is their most ambitious title in which they have included 18 years of experience.
Contraband is in development via Apex Enginand, the same technology seen in their latest work Just Cause 4, and will be an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S console exclusive title. It is still too early to get an idea about it, since the short teaser just gives us a presentation of the title setting. The certainty for the moment is that this is another important title that will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass.
