Announced a couple of months ago, Disintegration seemed, right from the start, a title to bet on. And not so much for what is shown, as everything we have seen of the production was revealed only later, during Gamescom, but rather for the pedigree that the sparacchina opera brings as a dowry.
Disintegration is in fact the fruit of the love and efforts of a totally independent team, co-founded by Marcus Lehto, one of the creators of the legendary Halo series.
The work can be easily defined as a first person shooter characterized by a high tactical rate. Whether you play it in single player, whether you test it in a multiplayer game, Disintegration offers a decidedly different gameplay than that found in any of the contemporary shooters.
But it is above all in the clashes with other human beings that the title would seem to take off: in the tested mode, a 5 vs 5 in which one team was concerned with defending its objectives, the other with attacking and destroying them, each of the players could select one of the proposed hovercrafts, the real fulcrum around which the entire playful plot of Disintegration revolves, each characterized by different statistics regarding durability, speed and offensive power.
Each player, in addition to having to take care to govern his own battle vehicle, had the need to lead a small handful of soldiers to be instructed at will, thus subjecting them to their will and their own game tactics. Interesting.
Far from wanting to judge a production that is still in full development at an early stage, it is still a pleasure to observe the willingness on the part of the development team to propose something different from the rest of the FPS in circulation.
The first sighting of Disintegration looks promising. The particular gameplay of the work Private Division and V1 Interactive only increases the expectations for a title that Epic Videogames Guide will follow very closely. Stay tuned for more.
