    E3 2019: eFootball PES 2020 - Preview

We knew it by the name of Pes, an acronym for Pro Evolution Soccer, Konami's famous football-themed video game saga. From this year, however, we will have to get used to calling her eFootball PES 2020, because the famous football game officially changes its name.

On the occasion of E3 in Los Angeles, the most important videogame themed fair in the world, we had the opportunity to preview eFootball PES 2020, which will be released on shelves and digital stores next September 10. The title will be available on both PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Konami for this eFootball PES 2020 worked closely with the famous midfielder Andres Iniesta and was able to introduce several gameplay innovations. Thanks to the collaboration with the Spanish champion, Konami has managed to develop a new dribbling mode, he calls Finesse Dribble.

This new dribbling mode is able to best reproduce the ability of the Spanish champion to read the game and overcome the most difficult defenses, in order to give a unique immersion that has never been seen before in a football game. . According to Konami, the physics of the ball has also been improved in several respects in order to make it more likely to reality, but at first glance it seemed the same as its predecessor.

Unfortunately we only got to play one match without being able to better understand the improved physics.

The developers of eFootball PES 2020 told us about a new mode called Matchday. Here we will have to choose one of the two teams present at the beginning of each weekly event. Every game we play, every well-placed pass and every goal scored, will make us accumulate points, essential for the final victory.

At the end of the weekly event there will be a stage called the Grand Final. The results obtained from group matches will be analyzed and evaluated to find the player who managed to obtain a higher score. These users will then have to represent their team by participating in the Grand Final. All the final matches can be followed in streaming within the Match Day mode.

The developers also told us about the iconic eFootball PES 2020 mode, namely the Master League. Konami has decided to refresh it by introducing several improvements. The dialogue system has been completely revised so that we can better control the progression during our career. The transfer market will be entrusted to a new algorithm that will include new variants, including the cost of the transfer and the salary.

In the Master League mode it will be possible to create and customize the sponsor logos that will then be visible behind you during the interviews: customize the appearance of the coach to your liking: play the entire Master League Career playing the role of already famous coaches, including which Maradona. The graphic sector of eFootball PES 2020 has been revised and improved. Konami has introduced a new lighting management system, improved player models and even more realistic intermission and replay cinematics. A new shot is available that can still give a feeling even more similar to that of the television broadcasts of the matches.

Konami's commitment to trying to improve one of the most famous football titles in the world exists and is tangible. From the demo we tested, we noticed a greater realism during the movements of the players, especially with regard to the dribbling phases. The new shot really hit us and managed to give us the same feeling and sensations we feel while watching the game of our favorite team. The character models are extremely defining and well characterized. A real shame not to have tried the new Matchday mode firsthand or to see the improvements introduced in the Master League live. eFootball PES 2020 has what it takes to be the best football title of this generation, we can't wait to get our hands on the final product that we remind you to be out on September 10th and will be available on both PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
