GIGABYTE, a well-known PC components company, today announced the new range of UD Pro SSDs. The new SSDs are built following a 2.5-inch form factor and have the classic 6 Gbps SATA interface.
There are various models that differ according to the memory capacity. There is the 256 GB GP-UDPRO256G version, the 512 GB GP-UDPRO512G version and finally the 1 TB GP-UDPRO1T version.
The UD Pro range features 3-layer KIOXIA 96D TLC NAND Flash memories. The 1 TB variant offers an endurance value of 750 TBW, while the 512 GB variant offers 370 TBW; and the 256 GB 175 TBW variant.
As for performance, all three models reach speeds of 550 MB / s and 530 MB / s respectively in sequential reading and writing. The range uses a Phison S10-series controller equipped with a 256MB DRAM cache (in all three models). The Taiwanese company backs these units with a 5-year warranty.
The company has not yet disclosed the prices and availability of the product.
