Resident Evil 7 offers a large amount of collectibles around the map. Some of them are ancient coins that can guarantee you prizes if placed in special cages. There are eighteen coins in all and we have prepared a guide for you that will allow you to find them all.
- First step: read the our reviewotherwise no coins.
- First coin: In the guest house kitchen at the start of the game. This coin is located in a closed drawer. To open the drawer you will have to follow this procedure: during the first videotape (the one where you will play the cameraman) look outside the house to find a lockpick. Once inside the house, use it to open a chest of drawers on the right side of the kitchen. Once you are back in the game, you can open the drawer with Ethan.
- Second coin: In the main house on the first floor. Take the key needed to open the hatch and go down into the cavity. As you crawl forward you will see a huge red lawnmower (it's really hard not to notice it), there you will find the coin on it.
- Third coin: In the main room of the house (first floor). After opening the door with the statue of the ox. As you enter, go left and you will find the coin in a drawer.
- Fourth coin: In the recreation area (second floor). Very easy to find, it is located in the right corner near the puppet with the bouncy head.
- Fifth coin: In the bathroom of the main house (second floor). Enter the bathroom and you will find the coin in a toilet.
- Sixth coin: First floor of the main house, in the room with the blackboard. In the main room you will find a machine that sheds light towards a painting depicting an eagle. In the second floor bathroom you will find a wooden figurine. You will need to use the statuette on the pedestal in front of the light beam and make the shadow collide with the white image of the eagle. Once done, a secret passage will open. After the secret passage you will find yourself in front of a room with a plastic blackboard, go to the side table and in the ashtray you will find the coin.
- Seventh coin: Underground corridor. Continuing after the room with the blackboard you will find some stairs. Going down them you will find an underground area full of a strange black substance on the walls and floors. Continuing naturally at a certain point you will open a sliding green door, take a few steps forward and analyze the wall immediately on your left, the coin is in a hole in the wall below.
- Eighth coin: After the door with the three-headed dog. Continuing after this famous door go down the stairs and immediately turn right and then right again staying close to the outside of the stairs, you will find vases with the coin inside.
- Ninth coin: In the caravan. As soon as you leave the house you will find a caravan in the courtyard, enter it and the coin will be in plain sight on the table.
- Tenth coin: In the old house. Crawling into the passage behind the fireplace and down the stairs, the coin is on a small table before the door at the end.
- Eleventh coin: Outside the old house. After you get the crank, go across the bridge and you will find the coin above the toilet in the shack.
- Twelfth coin: On the second floor of the old house. On this floor full of holes on the right you will find a staircase with a raven door at the top. Open the door and continue to the rooms that will appear in front of you, go up the small stairs and turn right. The coin is in a drawer on the corner.
- Thirteenth coin: On the first floor of the Test Area. Continue down the main corridor with the floor covered with hay and reach a room with a green chest of drawers. The coin is in there.
- Fourteenth coin: On the second floor of the Test Area. In the room with the dead man stuck in the chair, enter the door in front of him. The coin is on the shelf in front of the entrance door.
- Fifteenth coin: In the Shipwreck. Immediately after the flashback where you will see two workers intent on opening a pipe jump into the trap door next to you. Continue like this: immediately left and then twice right. The coin will be waiting for you in the dead end that you will find yourself in front of.
- Sixteenth coin: Also in the Shipwreck. Don't go up the stairs with the little girl on top, once you do you can't go back to get this coin. When you see the aforementioned child, turn left, go down into the water and continue to the right aiming for the ground. The coin is hidden under there.
- Seventeenth coin: Third floor of the Shipwreck. Once out of the elevator, turn left and enter the room in front of you. There is a toolbox in there, open it with a lockpick and that's it. Don't have a lock pick? It means that you haven't explored the floor below well. Spin down, open the map and go to the upper right room.
- Eighteenth coin: After the engine room in the wreck. After exploring the engine room you will go down the stairs and you will find yourself in front of a metal box attached to the wall. Use the acid to corrode the box and steal the coin inside.
