Kingston announces the release of the U.2 DC1000M SSD

    Kingston, a well-known storage device company, today announced the release of the new U.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. DC1000M, designed to support a wide range of enterprise workloads (including cloud computing, web hosting, HCP servers, virtual infrastructures, artificial intelligence systems and learning application).

    DC1000M is an economical and powerful NVMe unit intended for data centers. The product in question offers a PCIe NVMe Gen 3.0 x4 interface, providing up to 540K of random read and write IOPs. In addition, 3 GB / s of throughput are reached.



    The form factor used is U.2 2,5 ″. The drive in question includes enterprise features such as end-to-end data encryption and power-loss protection (PLP).

    The device in question is available in different denominations which differ according to the storage capacity. 960GB, 1,92TB, 3,84TB and 7,68TB versions are available.
