The new version of Sony PSVR2, of which so far we speak only through rumors, could debut with PS5 and some indiscretions would describe it as wireless. Among the main competitors in the gaming world, the Japanese giant is certainly the one that has invested the most in VR gaming projects, obtaining flattering results. However, this technology has still remained on the sidelines, even if lately some projects dedicated to the VR world are strongly relaunching the sector.
Some PlayStation releases will obviously still support headsets (Hitman 3, for example), but Sony has not yet officially revealed what the future holds for virtual reality.
The most recent news is that some datamining research may have brought to light something potentially interesting. In fact, apparently a code has been found in the PS Remote Playback App suggesting some sort of remote play between the PS5 and the (presumed) future PSVR2.
I thought i'd make a seperate tweet about this.

In particular, as summarized in the rumors subject of tweets, the expression "Impossible to use a microphone with remote playback when the VR headset is on" would only make sense for a possible new Sony PSVR2, as the current viewer is wired while the PS5 will have next-generation Wi-Fi and bluetooth capabilities.
Obviously the discovered code could refer to something entirely different, but certainly the move to wireless could be the turning point that many were waiting to launch into the world of virtual reality in a more comfortable way. Combined with the technical possibilities that the next-gen already promises, it would open up a new horizon of gaming.
