Panasonic has announced the arrival on the market of the AW-UE100 PTZ camera, this product supports a wide variety of transmission protocols over IP networks, first of all the full NDI up to 250Mbps in 4K, the NDI | HX in H.264 Full HD and the new Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) technology.
This new PTZ camera is equipped with a new generation single direct drive motion motor, smoother Pan / Tilt and extreme installation flexibility, low noise and capable of producing very high quality images. It is ideal for live, remote and studio productions, for broadcast and live staging applications, for corporate events and installations as well as sports production.
The UE100 has a 4 / 1 "2,5K MOS sensor that allows for high quality 4K / 60 / 50P UHD images and is equipped with several interfaces, including 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP simultaneously. The chamber is designed for use in both small and very large environments, the UE100 has unique characteristics. The lens offers a wide angle with a horizontal viewing angle of 74,1 degrees and is therefore able to have high performance even in small environments, its 24x optical zoom makes it the camera with the best telephoto lens capability in its segment, allowing the use also in productions with very large dimensions.
The UE100 with full NDI technology allows the transmission of very high quality and very low latency signals in 4K / 60 / 50P and obviously also in Full HD, respectively at the speed of about 250 Mbps and 100 Mbps, using the available gigabit LAN port. . The camera also offers NDI® | HX technology with H.264 compression in full HD at low bitrate to meet the most simplified IP network architectures. Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) ensures maximum stability when transmitting high quality video, even in the case of a non-dedicated network connection such as a VPN, while the RTMP / RTMPS function allows live streaming of video streams, both in H.265 (UHD) and H.264 (Full HD) directly on YouTube Live, Facebook Live or other platforms, using the encoding part of the camera itself.
The FreeD protocol, also in the AW-UE100, allows direct integration of the camera with all AR / VR graphics systems, which through this protocol are able to calibrate the camera and control its movements (Pan / Tilt / Zoom / Focus / Iris), in order to integrate systems without the need for an encoder or additional accessories. The introduction of the new and unique direct drive mechanism, with rotation compensation, also ensures in this new chamber an unprecedented firmness, stability and silence during Pan / Tilt operations.
The Pan range in this chamber is ± 175 ° and the Tilt range is from -30 ° to 210 °. Other essential features are the four-position ND filters (Clear, ¼, 1/16, 1/64), the night mode that can be activated for infrared shooting and the PoE ++ support to be powered via a network switch with these electrical characteristics or via a PoE injector.
The AW-UE100 will be available in black and white from the third quarter of 2020 (price still to be defined).
