In fact, scattered throughout the game map, there are two different types of jewels that you can get: they are the jewels of power and the magical ones.
This type of object will allow you to save yourself very often from bad situations, greatly reducing the use of any herbs or medicines during the adventure, as they will increase the character's life bar. In fact, when both the magic and health bars are maximized, they will extend 3/4 horizontally across the gameplay screen, allowing you to resist enemies during battles for a longer duration.

Speaking more in detail of this type, it is in effect a "lifesaver" that can increase the maximum level of health. In fact, using only one, the increase in the bar will be small, but if you add more and more, you will start to see actual differences. In addition, by exploiting them as much as possible during your adventure you will be able to inflict more damage and in greater numbers during the battles against the bosses.
Playing as Kaede you won't be able to use them directly, but you can keep them aside; however, we strongly advise you to use them as soon as possible when you return to control Samanosuke. You can easily recognize the jewels of power by their crescent shape and their bright yellow color, recognizable above all as shiny objects on the ground.
Below we report the exact location of all jewels of power present in the game, sorted by appearance. Some are particularly difficult to recognize, so please double check the areas several times!
- Right after you have found the first magical jewel in the game, the jewel of power will be in the chest next to the save point, just before the Shiden Gate on Level 1. Select the first, third and sixth characters to open the chest for it. recover.
- Just before facing the first boss, in front of a very large door, next to the save point inside a chest is the second jewel. Select the sixth, first and fourth characters to open it.
- Stay on the third floor, from the stairs, turn to Samanosuke's right and enter the door nearby. Once inside, examine the hanging bucket to be able to retrieve the upgrade. (if you cut it, however, you will no longer be able to get it later).
- Inside a chest in the secret passage behind the strategic room of the keep, near the area where the pieces of the Saito clan coat of arms are found to be able to climb to the roof.
- Enter the very tall building you noticed in the east area, and climb one of the roofs via a ladder. The jewel of power is behind the corpse.
Once you have followed all these guidelines, you will be able to obtain all the jewels of power present in the game, thus managing to increase your health bar by 3/4.
