Launched on the Nintendo Switch over three years ago, Pokkén Tournament DX allows fans of pocket monsters to engage in a series of battles quite distinct from those on which the titles of the main series focus. First on Wii U and then on the hybrid console, the creatures born from Game Freak have battled and the second round could perhaps arrive in the near future.
To ignite the enthusiasm and hopes of fans is not an insider or an alleged leak, but Katsuhiro Harada, a leading figure at Bandai Namco. Game director and producer of various productions, Harada is known for Street Fighter, Tekken and for the spin-off on Pokémon. Well, in the past few hours the author has answered a question from a user on Twitter, leaning towards a possible Pokkén Tournament DX 2.

“We are on excellent terms with Nintendo and Pokémon Company,” says the spokesman for the Japanese company, “Pokkén has had a good response, so I'd like to do it again. But we don't decide this, these are things that they decide ”. In short, from Harada's words it seems that a sequel to Pokkén is not in the works for the moment, but for its part there is full availability.
After all, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are preparing the arrival of New Pokémon Snap and probably many other surprises for the brand's anniversary, but it cannot be excluded that in the future companies may find an agreement for a new fighting game spin-off in Pokémon sauce.
